Is the rf door lock supposed to unlock all doors? (power)

I have an 01 sonata w power locks. When I unlock the passenger front door with the key, all doors unlock. When I do this from the drivers side this does not occur. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance to the esteemed members of the HF braintrust.

Yes.
It seems to be somewhat of an industry standard......on those cars that HAVE a keyhole on the passenger side that is.

P.S. Similar to pushing the FOB button twice, turning the key in the drivers door TWICE should unlock all doors too, probably.

i have 94 sonata i can unlock doors from either side wuth key.i found this because my fob was locked inside while the engine is running. It locks itself when the drivers door is closed.Because someone tried breaking the drivers door lock.

I thought to myself that you might be driving a lhd car and predominantly they are made for RHD countries hence the right Dr door unlocking everything.
