Ok i have 1999 Hyundai Excel its done 34,000 km and has no other problems.
The Probme is that the car surges, loosing power in surges. This happens only maybe once a week so not often but often enough to be a very annoying problem.
I have taken it to the Hyundai garage and they say its the TPS (throtal position sensor) and another sensor to do with the fuel. I also got it checked at another garage and one of the machanics say that he doesnt think the hyundai diagnosis is correct.
The car has had the injectors and leads replaced and the fuel and oil filters replaced.

This problem is really annoying if anyone can help that would be great. Other than this problem the Exel is great.

I know that this one is a pretty easy but over looked thing, are the battery terminals 100% clean and clear? A good connection? If not, that could easily be the coulprit, had a similar thing happen myself.

If you don't mind, go into some detail with the when and where of what is happening in your car.

Break it down for us, step by step, of what the helllz goin on with your car.
