Hi all,

I've bought my Accent in May 2005 and last week Wednesday, Friday and Saturday I got stuck in traffic and everytime the altenator started giving off this burning smell.I think it's overheating, but it's the first time I've got a problem like this on a car.Any help?
I've read through the forums and came across solutions to my other problems on the car.The high fuel consumption and starting problems. When I got the car, cold starts were immediately but if I went in to a shop and came back 5 minute later, the engine would turn for about 30 seconds before starting(that's with pumping the gas and without pumping the gas, doesn't matter). Now it's struggling to start even on a cold start. The engine turns for about 30 seconds and then starts with a irregular idle for about a minute.

The car has done 154000km of which 5000km is what I have done with.

Thanks
