I have this Tucson (2005) now for a year it is a V6 2.7 autom gear and driving in the city is between 15-18ltr/100km, drive normal not above the 2000rpm. On the highway about 10-11ltr/100km driving between 100-130km/h = 60-80miles/hr. It is still a lot of fuel and it is also not make me happy. The fuel here in the NL is proberly the highest in the world now between €1,66 - €1,80 p/ltr, this is $2,24 - $2,43 p/ltr(1,35$€). For me I live near the German border and it is cheaper there. Our price for one liter is almost the same price in the US for a gallon 3,7ltr. For the fuel don't move to the NL it wil make you poor.
We are going with our caravan to Spain this summer and I don't now what this V6 is going to consum.
I have accepted the high fuel consum. This car gives me a lot of pleasure driving it with a low cost for maintenance.
Have a good drive.
