Has anyone tried this?
I tried it the other day, and as I was leaving my house with a downhill road right nearby on the way out of my community, I was doing about 20mph when I made the turn onto the road, and happened to take my foot off the gas temporarily, when the Tucson suddenly came to an abrupt stop! Yeah, that means it's working, but I didn't think the downhill was that steep, nor did I think it would be like putting on the brakes abruptly? I had to feed a little gas to get the vehicle moving again. I would say if you had it turned on, and happened to forget, it would catch you by surprise!

Later on as I was coming back home, there is a pretty steep hill at the entrance to my community, you need to shift into 1st gear, or if it's an automatic, it will shift into 1st, or 2nd gear automatically, and I couldn't seem to get it to apply uphill ascent on that? I was quite surprised, I don't know what's up with that? I tried to implement it by coming off the gas, but the Tuc started rolling backwards? On occasion I would be towing a boat, or jetski, up that hill, and would actually like it to automatically kick into uphill ascent mode, but don't know if that's gonna happen, because I don't have a trailer hitch on the Tuc yet. In other words, when I really needed it, it wasn't there

Has anyone had any experience with it working when going uphill?

I recently had the chance to use Hill Ascent on a steep dirt road several times and it worked just as intended. While my inlaw's Lincoln SUV rolled back a few feet ahead of me (good thing I kept my distance! ), the Tucson climbed like a champ - no wheel spin, no rolling backwards. Can't complain!

Glad to hear it worked good going uphill WP, I hope mine works as well when I get tow my jetski, & trailer, uphill at the steep community entrance hill.
