I thought this article might be interesting, especially since some of you reside in Florida. Does it ring true? I still can't imagine it's worse than Seoul.

Well, let's see...of the five cities voted the worst for road rage, I've driven in three of them (Miami #1, New York #3, LA #4). I didn't really find the people of Miami to be that rude. New York, yes. The drivers in LA just seemed clueless, not necessarily rude. Sorry to any Californians out there.
Out of the cities voted most courteous, I've driven in Nashville and Atlanta. Nashville definitely has polite drivers; Atlanta, not so much. Everybody was doing 80 in 55 mph zones and riding back bumpers. I have no idea how it was voted one of the most courteous.

I've never been to Seoul, so I can't comment on driving there, but I would imagine it would be quite a cluster sometimes due to the staggering population of the city.

Is Miami still part of Florida? Haven't been that way in a long time. :auto:

I can certainly vouch for Boston drivers being bad. My mom's from there originally (but hasn't lived there since 1974) and everytime I go back, I get more and more scared. Portland drivers used to be good but it seems like they've gotten a good dose of that California cluelessness. But in relation to the rest of the country, I think we're okay. Turn signal use is pretty consistent and speed limits are somewhat obeyed because the cops are anal. If the speed limit is 55 and cops are around, people go 55. I once saw a guy get pulled over for going 31 in a 30 zone, no lie, that's how bad cops are here. And DO NOT speed in school zones. That is a huge fine right there...

eh boston isnt so bad

I drove up there over the weekend

yes in the flooding pouring rain which the sonata handled more than nicely at speeds upwards of 75mph

and RAIN-X geez i never thought itd be so useful but it proved its worth on that trip up to boston i was starting to worry it was a waste if any of you check youll see how bad the rain was

i had my wipers set so they would stall when they hit the bottom and no visibility problems most water slid off to the top except the lighter beads that dont effect visibility as much

but yea back to boston it wasnt so bad but whew on 95 people really love to speed i did get to see a porsche carrera gt in action on it though, that was hot

Agreed about LA cluelessness; I've never seen so many drivers make a right turn outa the left turn lane :bwekk:

Also agreed about Minneapolis (especially the cute girl that saw my Nebraska plates, waved me in and hollered, "Go Huskers!") and St Louis (at least they mark the "Cross Traffic Does Not Stop" intersections)

I had a Subaru Service Manager tell me I voided the Warranty on the Car, because I used Rain-X. That guy was a creep, the Brand new Dealership closed soon thereafter.

I now live in Miami and come from Los Angeles. South Florida might be the most dangerous area to drive in, followed by Southern California. And it's getting worse!
