where is the fuel tank air filter located ? if you will look in your maint. log or owners manual for the four cyl. under emmissions control you will find the fuel tank air filter to be inspected at 15000 miles and changed at 30000 miles thank you

I've never heard of such a thing, are you talking about the fuel filter maybe?

And why would you be asking such a question to begin with?

Next to the muffler bearing.

I couldn't help myself. :P

I suppose there might be a filter on the fuel tank breather hose, but I don't believe there are any maintenance requirements for such a thing. Why do you ask?

Right next to the blinker fluid of course! Also make sure to change the air in your tires every 7500 miles.

I'm going with SYNTHETIC air this summer. (0-32 PSI weight.) It just came out. Expensive, but worth every PSI!!! :gitara:

Isn't there some sort of gizmo in there that prevents gas fumes from burping back when you're filling up? I think there's even a CEL code for it.

You can't be too careful. When that winter air heats up it condenses and turns into water. Then we'll have a whole new bunch of people complaining about the sloshing noise in their tires.

ha ha - someone HAS to go to their Hyundai service department and say.

"Yes I'm here for my first oil change and could you please switch to summer air for the tires - I'd like synthetic please". "Oh and I need some more blinker fluid and could you check the muffler bearing ? - it's a little noisy".

Or, it might get you on their good side. (as long as they knew you were joking!) I think most of their customers are so uptight it would be a refershing change.

Y'all left out the "piston return springs". I bet they were talking about the fuel filter ... but they probably won't be back now.

Yeah I must admit, this whole thread seemed kinda mean-spirited, so I wouldn't blame them if they didn't come back. I had a buddy who was a few years older than me, and he would always rip my **** if I didn't know exact specs for stuff on his ricer Prelude and his bikes and stuff like that....always used to irritate me to no end.

Anyway, sorry for whatever part I had in all the insanity here - and I would also like to apologize on the behalf of any others whose comments were hurtful to the originator of the thread.

Speaking of tire air. There is a service center here in Jax that replaces the air in your tires with nitrogen,I beleive they charge $7.95 a tire.I have no idea what the advantage would be.

Is it 100% nitrogen, or is it 79% Nitro, 20% Oxygen, and 1% other?
