After washing my Sonata and putting Armorall on the tires the other day I thought maybe some over spray got on my windows. I proceeded to clean them but what appears to be some kind of overspray is still there and I can't get it off. Does the solar control glass have some kind of properties that would give this look? It can only be seen at certain angles otherwise it looks clean. Has anyone else noticed this on their car? Does anyone know anything about this new PPG solar control glass? I can't find anything on the Web.

armorall is an oil based product, you will need to clean the glass with a de-greaser of some sort to get it all off

If you look at your windows from various angles, you'll probably notice a slight green tinge appear in the glass. The glass filters out some of the UV from the sun to protect driver/passengers.

Try rubbing alcohol and/or "Bon-Ami" (a non-abrasive cleanser) to clean your windshield. I use them once in a while to keep my field of vision clear of bird droppings, tar, tree sap, etc... Good luck

I once saw a Hot Rod show on TV, and the guys all use Bon Ami. Best glass cleaner in the universe... Cheap too!

Also it reduces the Heat from the sun that gets inside: you can tell the difference with and without the window open.

But the weird thing is the glass looks clean. It's almost like it's a property of the glass. Have any of you actually looked closely when the sun is shining through? The sides windows are more noticeable. Let me know.

I think the next time I'm near the dealer I'm going to stop in and look at a few other cars.

It's going to take a bit before the armor all comes off...It doesn't take hard scrubbing, but it will take more than just a wipe to get it off. Try using the armor all wipes for your dash. They give you a clean a even wipe across your dash.

Yeah, the main difference on this fine, sunny, 85-degree day was that with the windows open, there was a cooling breeze. Windows up, HELLO HEATLAMP!

Dayum, I can't wait for the tinting!
