Today I just got the release of title letter. It is a two-page letter and it seems the second page is the release. So, what should I do with this release paper? Bring it in to DMV and get a new title? (I actually havn't got the initial title yet)

The second question is, on the first page, they mentioned: "You may be entitled to a refund of the unsused credit life and/or disability insurance premiums f your contract was paid in full prior to its original maturity date. If a refun d is due, your dealer can apply for the refund at your request. You may also, contact the insurance company directly to apply for your refund."

I know I should get some refunds. So what should I do? Do I have to call my dealer and ask them to request the refund for me? Or just sit and wait for the check to arrive?

Thank you all!

You should not have to do anything. The title will come in the mail shortly after paying off your loan. You may also receive a small refund of interest based on when they recevied your payoff and when the payment was actually due. I think my check was around $25.

WHAT? Life insurance? Disability insurance? Are you sure that's what it says there?

Maybe they wrote "CAR INSURANCE"? Even then, would a car insurance company charge me more, as long as I have a lean on my car?

Come on, I just copied the sentences from the letter. I think many of us have received such mail?
