My 2002 Elantra is still under warranty (4 yrs, 50,000 miles). The remote entry keyfob died. My dealer sez too bad, the keyfob is only warranted for 36,000 miles, like the radio. But the owner's manual says nothing specific about the keyfob, and doesn't mention it in the exclusions lists or in the radio/electronucs section. Shouldn't it be covered for the full bumper-to-bumper 5/60?

There are certain components that are not covered for the whole 5/60K warranty. What you may want to do is buy two remotes like yours off eBay and then have the dealer program them for you. I can't see why they'd charge you for...ahem..."reprogramming" your remotes if you catch my drift. :whistling: :innocent: :wink2:

Hope this helps you.
