thnks guys.

also, do you guys know what kind of oil used in hyundai dealer??

The filter is a cartridge filter (looks like a great big lawnmower air filter).

Dealer oil? They will use the cheapest stuff money can buy.

Miles between changes? With synthetic oil - probably 7 or 8 thousand miles between changes.

Owner's Manuel says every 7500 with regular oil. Your dealer will try to tell you every 3000 so they can get more oil changes. Mine charges 51 dollars a pop so it is advantageous for me to go every 3000 but I will only be going what the manuel calls for for warranty purposes which is 7500

I think I'm going to compromise. I trust premium dino oil to 7,000 miles and syn oil to 10,000 miles, but I only trust oil filters to 5-6000 miles. If I have to change the filter every 5-6000, I may as well change the oil while I'm at it! :(

3700 miles is for severe driving conditions and regular oil.

so if i get a oil change from dearler, i shouldn't drive up to 7k miles before another oil change??
because dealer uses cheap oil???

or is it safe to drive upto about 5k miles before oil change( with dealer oil change)

if dealer don't use synthetic oils, should i tell them to use syntethic....??
when i go to dealer for oil change service??
or any other regular shop...can do it??

any recomendation??

As stated above, if your driving conditions are "severe" then I would not reccommend waiting 7k but if conditions are "normal" then the book I have for a GLS V6 3.3 says every 7500k, which I intend to do and there is no requirement to use synthetic oil.

More than likely oil change shops will not have the filter available and probably your dealer will not have synthetic oil available. If you want synthetic installed which I highly recommend take the brand you like to the dealer and have them install with the correct filter
