Has anyone else had their windshield washer fail? It worked when I first got the car but sometime between then and this week it went south.

You don't really use that feature too much in Arizona but I was on a trip to San Diego and when I tried it - nothing. Not out of fluid - just dead.

Interesting. I found mine to come without fluid from the factory. It took about 50 Ounces to fill, and I had never used it in the month I've owned the Sonata. Of course it went through about 25 test drives in the past 6 months????

I recall reading a post about dead washer pumps a while back. Guess the first batches were bad. Forgot where I read it, maybe it was here?

Question is, do you hear the motor working, but no fluid coming out, in which case there might be some blockage (or the fluid might be going somewhere else -- open the hood and have someone activate the washer, or check under the car look for a puddle)...

...Or does it seem like the motor is dead?

I don't get any sound at all. The motor must be dead. I also thought that I read something about bad motors but I searched 15 pages on this site and found nothing.

I'll have to try mine?. I've been keeping the Car so clean, I can't tell you if I used it. Again, with an empty reservoir, or close to it from the Factory, I am expecting some problems too!

The last time I had a car that did this, it was a dead fuse. Maybe check the manual to see if there is a fuse that drives the washer pump.

Checked my wiper motor. It is working fine. However with 50 OZ of missing fluid, maybe they forgot to fill them at the factory, or it leaks?
