I'm pretty sure the 3.3 has a timing chain, mine does.

That's what I said. The new 2.7 is a down sized 3.3. Not like the old 2.7 that had a timing belt.

:offtopic: You're referring to the 2008 that's coming up and is supposed to be RWD, right? Have you seen pictures of it, other than the spy photo where it had a bra and other camo?

My bad. I didn't read what you were quoting close enough. At any rate, I'm glad they decided to go with chains period.

The biggest thing in there that will make all of you mad is that the steering wheel has seek adjustment (you can change radio stations and CD tracks). Because of this, I would be utterly shocked if they didn't bring that out in the 2007 Sonata. Bummer for all of us with the 2006.

:( sometimes i wonder what hyundai was thinking.....if they got us use to changing the volume on the steering wheel, they should of figured eventually we would want to change stations or music tracks eventually also.....or are us guys who got 06 sonatas just guinea pigs for the real 07 models...?

I think they realized their mistake from all the cunsumer responses and corrected it on the Optima as it was released late and they will probably make the correction on the 2007 Sonata becuase they can't change it mid year.

Speaking of which, any idea when that comes out? I heard a rumor that the 2007 Sonata will come out in May/June to make up for the 06 models not selling well enough. Any validation to these rumors? I tried to find the page just now but couldn't.
