All right fellow Sonata fans, I have a question that someone is likely to know the answer to.

I currently live in a city that is 3500 ft above sea level. I am moving shortly to a city that is pretty much sea level.

My question is - do I need to go to Hyundai to have them adjust the computer settings for the elevation change, (assuming the Sonata is set up that way to begin with) or does the computer automatically sense and adjust ??

I know I have to change the zone for the compass, have figured out how to do that from the manual.

No adjustments necessary. The mass airflow sensor tells the computer how dense the air is and the computer adjusts the fuel mix accordingly. Not like the old days when you had to richen up the carbs at altitude. You should see some slight improvement in MPGs at sea level.
