 Wheels Locked, help with getting unlocked

Hi I am having a problem with getting my car started. The wheels seem to be locked up so the ignitition won;t turn. I have tried turning wheel to get unlocked. moving car back and forth to try to turn wheel and nothing works..has anybody had this problem and can help me out. :liebe011:

this can be a problem on any older car where the ignition key lock barrel becomes jammed, try putting a small amount of light oil in the barrel where the key goes in and then work the oil through by moving the key back and forth. (do not use wd40) all you can do then is to keep trying to turn the key while rocking the steering wheel back and forth, with luck you will be able to free it but you may need to persivere, (however you will need to get a new lock fitted as the same thing is likely to happen again)

does anybody know how to remove lock cyinder from '91 Hyundai Excel?

u have to turn key same time u rock the wheel
