You can buy OEM trunk spoiler much cheaper from here: YourHyundaiParts.comI got mine from them within a week from the order perfectly matched to my car color. I also suggest to get the splash guards as Sonata does not come equipped with them by default. They are easy to install yourself and do thie job well. Cheers, netscorer

I wish to purchase a spoiler and body kit (possibly) from one of the Korean sources referred to above and I have a paint color question.
Does anyone know if the Korean crystal silver (code Z9) is the same as the Canadian/US (code H1)??
I have a Canadian model with the color "crystal silver". Unlike the US, we do not have the choice of the "bright silver". The US has now added the option of a "silver blue" which is identical to the Canadian "crystal silver". It also has the identical code (H1). In Korea however where they have both shades of silver, my color is referred to as "crystal silver" but this is the only color in the range of colors with a different code (Z9).

I have that same color. When I went to order touch up paint, I saw Z9/H1 on the parts sheet. I'd be certain that it's the same. I originally wanted SILVER silver, and not blue silver. Rats. I'm getting use to it, and actually like it. Honda and GM have a very similar color. No touch up pens were available yet. I'm supposed to try again later.
Sonatafan, have you noticed if your bumpers are a slightly different color that the body??? Mine is, if the light is right. My wife noticed it too. It's not bad enough to get it repainted, just a hint off.

QUOTE Sonatafan, have you noticed if your bumpers are a slightly different color that the body??? Mine is, if the light is right. My wife noticed it too. It's not bad enough to get it repainted, just a hint off. Then maybe your body was painted in H1, but the plastic moldings (bumpers) only come in Z9? That might explain the color discrepancy. Wish I'd seen this post before I was at the dealer a couple hours ago - they were bragging about their new crystal silver Sonata and I would've gone and picked it over for you - would've let you know if the colors matched. Bright, sunny day here today - reveals all flaws and blemishes (and ticked me off after I finished my thorough washing because of that very reason!)

Ask Mike (Importshark.com), his email address is Aftermarketx@aol.com. Aprox. 3 weeks ago he told me that he had ONE Aero Studie bodykit in stock for $1300 with the POLYURETHANE front lip. I decided not to buy it because there is high, very high possibility of me either trading in my Sonata for a Mini Van or passing the keys to my wife since her Old f***ing Caravan is starting to show signs of "RIP". So why spend money on something I am not going to use? Instead, I need to put my Black Bird back in shape just like in the old times. But polishing a black car is a B***! (IMG: http://mysite.verizon.net/resnyjoh/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/mybird2.jpg.w300h177.jpg) Lets see how long her minivan will last............ I wish 2 or 3 more years but that would be a miracle. There is a better chance for the Tampa Bay Rays to win the World Series........................

Bright, sunny day here today - reveals all flaws and blemishes (and ticked me off after I finished my thorough washing because of that very reason!) Two different colors would be an improvement over my Tiburon - I can count three different yellows on the car though the casual viewer probably wouldn't notice. The bumpers and rocker panels are slightly off from the body and the gills on the front fenders are different from both. Not really complaining, just waiting for the paint to start flaking off and stuff so I can go ahead with my repainting plan, though that's probably a few (or more) years down the road.
