can anyone help me with the following problem. my 94 pony has what appears to be some sort of vacuum diaphram connected to the inlet manifold by a 5cm length of rubber hose . the hose keeps melting and tearing appart within 1/2 mile of fitting a new hose , i've tried a new vacuum unit and it made no difference . i'm sure that there should not be very hot air blowing into this hose from the inlet manifold . the car still runs but is down on power and slows right down going up hills. any help would be much apprecited as my local garage didnt even know what the part was. Thanks.
