My Y reg Amica suffers a recurring problem, where the Engine Warning ligh comes on and the engine seems to have no power at all. I have already had the clutch replaced, and the car has been on the diagnostic machine several times, but nobody seems to have any answers.

The car has another problem, apparently common to Amicas, where the brake light wring can short out. This blows a lot of bulbs, and also seems to trigger the engine warning lamp.

Can anybody please help?

if you have had the fault code extracted at your dealer and they have failed to cure your problem yuou should be going back to them and start banging your fist on the table until you get some satisfaction. it would help a lot if you could tell us what the fault code was, always ask the dealer for a record of it, this fault could well be something simple such as a throttle postion sensor but you need to post the code to be sure
