I've had similar trouble with miy Accent. I recently read a letter in a modyfying magazine asking the same question and the response was that the only way to get a bodykit for an older style Accent it to go to companies that make custom fit bodykits.

Custom kits will cost a bit more than an off the shelf kit - but at least your car wont look like the hundreds of fiesta's, corsa's, nova's, saxo's etc who all have the same body kits. You'll have a unique motor.

Try going to http://www.HyundaiAfterMarket.com - and check out the forum there, you may find someone has already posted some companies details on the website.

Happy hunting!

Just found a sight in Australia - they do ship everything and apparently have good customer services.

They have a few bodykits and modifications available. :D

Hi Guys!

Well I thought i'd write a quick post and introduce myself!
I'm Rhian, 20yo from A.C.T. Australia... Drive a 2002 Ebony Black hyundai accent with full body kit, mags and other bits 'n' pieces...

Anyhows, straight to the point... for a 1997 Accent, In Australia, Pre-2000 Accents are known as a Hyundai Excel (may need very slight modification), and trust me there are loads of different kits you can put on them, (from what i have seen around anyhows) i can find some internet links and things if you like from my local area.

But for now, I'm slowly finding my way around this site! so hope to see you round the place!

:) If you goto my website there's a free mod you can do to increase the "grab" of your clutch (it was featured somewhere else in this forum but can't remember where).

I'm trying to compile a list of mods and how to do them on the Accent, as well as useful links and information. So if anyone has links, mods or info that I don't have then please e-mail them to me - although please remember that I'm aiming my website at the Accent mainly - and I'll do my best to get them on my website so that everyone can use it as a direct source of information.

:D Thanks to those who have supplied info already :D
