If you still have the original wireing (including the connector), check at the Metra web site for the part numbers for the matching connector for your radio. If not (my Elantra had the connector cut off) you may have to get a DMM Digital Multi Meter and trace your wires like I did. I attempted to use the wireing diagrams in a Hayne shop manual, and the wiring wasn't even close. I also used a tone/probe device to trace the speaker wires. Your basic wiring should go somthing like this:

Right Rear - two wires (mine matched the colors at thre speaker)
Left Rear - two Wires
Right Front - two wires
Left Front - two wires
GND - I traced two wires that were connected to ground
IGN - only 12V when key is in acc or on position
pwr - 12V on at all times. This should be used for your head unit memory.

Can't help with the color codes since I only have a 2000 Elantra, and the colors didn't match the manual.

Overall I was surprised at the small size of the wiring. Might be a problem if your head unit pulls a lot of amps.

Relativly easy, The RED and ORANGE wire is power ,red probably operating power and orange for memory( ie. to keep preset stations in memory when ignition off.
BLACK wire is negative or ground.

you will the see at least 8 other wires that can be paired off in two's according to colour with one in each pair having a tracer.theese are your speaker wires. should be 2 wires left. the aerial and the power wire for power aerial if fitted.

remove radio from console but dont dissconnect wires just yet . switch on radio.disconect speaker wires 2 of same colour and note which speaker goes out and write it down. do same for remaining six wires. now you know which coloured wires go to which speakers.

alternatvely you could go to any aftermarket auto store and buy a modified radio wiring loom that will plug straight in existing oem radio plug.

Yo, if you can get faxes. call this USA number : (631) 436-6405. It is the Audiovox faxback system. they will fax wireing information for most cars. It is my secret to doing caraudio from my home. If you can get ahold of them let me know and I will get the info and email it to you.

Goodluck

Dave
