I have the problem that the low beams don't work but the high beams do. In case this is a hint, the light adjuster (roller from 0 to 2), doesn't do anything.

I have read in this forum before that replacing the bulb doesn't work.

There was also mention of a relay that could be replaced. My simple manual doesn't tell me which one it is -- As far as I can tell, the relays are next to the fuse box underneath the steering column (with the hood release on the other side).... Is there any hope if the relay is replaced, or do I have to make a trip to the dealer.

Any hints in any direction would help

Hello nedatlund,

You live in northern europe, I guess driving with day-light, is that right ?

Then, I'll be sure you'll have to replace the bulb...

There are 2 filaments in each H4-bulb, one for low-beam (must be broken), and one for high-beam (must be OK).

Have a look at this before considering the replacement of a relay... bulbs are less expensive, and as I wrote, it's most likely the bulb has to be changed.

Replace both, the right and left bulbs in order to have the best lighting you can on your car.
If you only replace the bad one, the brightness of both beams should be slightly different.
Hope it helps,
Best regards
Roland
