i dont have the avic D1 i have the kenwood dnx-5120 which is practically the same and it looks amazing installed in my 03 tib. Its pretty much the same i chose the kenwood over the avic because the navigation doesnt require a disc. Kenwood is a bit more expensive but i felt it was worth it not having to put a nav disc everytime i needed directions. i had mine installed at car toys and they even hooked it up without the ebrake lock so u can mess with nav watch movies or w/e while driving. Another note i have the infinity system and there was no issue having this one installed.
