this is true ... hyundai egypt ( ghabbour ) offers a wonderful warranty ( 3 years / 60000 km ) and they have the best service center all over egypt and the best engineers ever , besides that the gearbox of the matrix is good and will last for a long time as i think ....

Regarding gear,i think yes because I'm just facing problem with my Inokom Matrix 1.6A and I don't know why the problem occur. My car only 7 month old. Last month I face with water leaking through the driver side. After 2-3 times checking then the technician solve the problem. They even don't let the carpet dry. I think Inokom should remind their service agent to do better job.

Now I face automatic gear problem. When I make an urgent stop (emergency brake) then the car cannot move (in D mode). I need to free the gear and use D again but the problem still the same.If i use L mode then the car can move. After that I can change to D mode. Tomorrow I'll send the car to workshop. Hopefully they can rectify the problem. Anyone have the same problem?

I have a Matrix automatic 1.6 but had your problem in another Hyundai model, a Starex van. Turned out to be a loose linkage in the shifter which threw the selector out of alignment when you stopped suddenly or similar sudden movement. Shifting out and back into D got the vehicle moving again but it could still shake loose while on the run. The dealer fixed the problem in half an hour by adjusting the linkage :) .

I was the same problem with the "D" and my Hyundai dealer solved it.

This is the history:

I've experienced problems, I think, with my Automatic transmition "D" (Drive mode) in the past 2 months was more frequent! "Reverse", "2" and "L" works fine.

Some Matrix users in my country have experiencing the same problem with the MATRIX GL Auto!

The problem was when I put "D" sometimes the car loses force, and is as much the force that loses that as soon as a hill can raise and I must push very down the accelerator to be able to accelerate or to put "2" or "L". The only way in which it can solve is turning off temporarily the engine and to return it to ignite.

One realizes when the problem comes, when in each change that develops the car, the car make a push.

Solved:

I went to the Hyundai Company Services in Panama and detected that the sensor of pulse or impulse of the transmission (automatic) was burned, reason why there were always problems to drive in "D".

Thanks to God I'm free from this problem.

Hope this help.

Bye

yes I got the same problem in case you are talking about manual transmission ... the reverse gear is a bit hard and don't go easily ... I have heard alot about such a thing in the matrix and I think its normal ... I mean its not a problem but this is the nature of the gearbox of our baby ....
