Hello every one.
I have bought a Tucson V6 Ltd and want to take some inputs from you people on remote starters. Has any one done that on there Tucson, and is willing to share his/her experience. Any suggestions on brand names, do’s/don’ts would be highly appreciated.

PS: My Location is up-state New York

Tuscanfan..... It is made by a Canadian company called " Astrostart ". I think that the total bill, including installation, came to a little over $ 300 Cdn.
It has some rather interesting features besides just protecting and starting your car. For example, you can program the car to start and run for several minutes ( during a very cold night ) preset at three different temperatures, ie. minus 15, minus 20, minus 30. You can also program different alarm signals. It locks and unlocks the doors and would also open the hatchback if the Tucson had an electric hatch opener which it doesn't. It also can be programmed to run the engine for three different time spans once manually activated with the key fob. It took about two hours to install. When locking or unlocking the vehicle, the lights flash and a built in warning device emits a " whoop, whoop " sound. If anyone tries to open a door or even rock the car, a loud warning device together with the car's horn is activated.
I highly recommend this inexpensive and effective option to anyone.
Rod. :)

I am getting a remote starter installed on Monday (Dec. 19th). My boyfriend bought it for me as a Christmas present. It also came to just over $300. It's called Command Start. It also has an alarm that stays on when you start the car. They do have to put in a module to bypass the immobilizer (if you have one).
I'm looking forward to being warm once I get in the car! I joked with my boyfriend, telling him he should have had it installed before the winter season started.
I'll keep you posted on how it works out.
Right now I am trying to figure out the immobilizer situation.

Hi, I recently got a starter installed. Its from astroflex. http://www.astroflex.com/index.html My installer is a dealer of this company and he charged USD 225 including installation. This one is working fine and it was recommended to me in this forum too. (Thanks Rod) I read some reviews of this one in other sites too and they were great. TucSonFan

No it won't as they just tap the wires, and don't cut any thing. TucSonFan

I just installed a remote start on a 05 tuscan. I works good exept i have to use the key in the door to unlock it when remote started. I found the Keysence wire but that only disables the factory keyless when the key is inserted. The ignition wire also disables the factory keyless. Dose anyone know how to bypass this so i can use the factory remote to unlock the doors while remote started. I couldnt find where the factory keyless unit was located.

I had a remote starter kit fitted by the local Hyundai dealer last winter and it works great in all weather except in the midst of winter (the reason I bought it). I find when I come to use it the engine attempts to turn over once and then gives up. After two or three attempts of starting her and only getting one engine turn over attempt each time I have to start her myself (for which after two or three turns is no problem). It seems as if the system instructs the car to start but not to continue trying until she starts. I have friends who have had dealers install on other makes of cars who don't have the same problem. Explaining it to the dealer reults in them accusing you of not using the system properly.
Any thoughts?
