I have just found out to-day that the Getz has no parking lights, as I live on a

road with a 40mph speed limit I am by law (here in the UK) to park with parking

lights after dusk, I park in a garage at night and on a drive during the day, but if I

need to park on the road or anywhere else with a 40mph limit, I have to park

illegally, if I park and leave the lights on as soon as I open the door the lights go

out on a safety switch, can anyone help ??? <_<

I think that could be a case of 'you must use the parking lights if the car is fitted with them'. Hardly any cars are fitted with parking lights. Some makes have them on all cars, like Mercedes and Volkswagen, but the majority don't bother.

On the getz if you have used the light the turn off the engine then open the door the lights go off correct. but once the lights are off just turn the light switch off then back on with the door open then the side lights are on which can be used ase park lights
