Hello Everyone, brand new to the forums.

I have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and I love the Ipod function. The problem is that it only plays certain songs. Do I need to calibrate it or do anything specific for it to play all the songs?

I have probably an older Ipod, its an 80GB Ipod which is about 18 months old. I have found that the vehicle only recognizes one artist and one folder of songs. I connect via the USB cable.

Hopefully someone can help and hopefully I've described the problem adequately.

Thanks,
David

Which Artist? Are you using the official Hyundai Cord?

Thanks for the reply. No, I'm using the USB from the Ipod that I download songs with. I bought the car used, so did not know about it. Would a dealer have it or what is it called and I can look online for it?

Thanks again.

Yes I found 7 pages of IPOD Threads, but this should get you to what you need.

I"m having the same issue a lot of users are reporting. I have a 2GB Nano. I'm using my own cable to connect to the USB port in my brand new Santa FE and I'm only seeing 80 of my 200+ songs. I can't see on that list any of my new IPOD songs. And another thing, is that I can't not seem to be able to go through my folders or anything. The car treats it like a USB connection, but nothing about IPOD although I do get to see details of the songs.
Help!!!! Do I need to get the Hyundai cable????

You need the official Hyundai cable to see the iPod as an iPod. If you use a normal USB, it will work as a USB storage device. With the official cable, you will get playlists, artists etc. The support for USB storage devices in limited. I have a 16GB memory stick with my music on it. The stereo only recognises the first level of folders but it works great. My daughter uses her iPod with the Hyundai cable and has far more options.
