I just bought my Hyundai i20 last Friday and I must say I am very happy with it. Ride is peppy and grip is solid. Interior is very smart too.

I just have one curiosity/ slight concern. I noticed that on the mudguard just between the front and rear wheels below the rear door is a 15cm x 10cm square 'sticker' of black colour hardly noticeably from the rest of the car's body if not after a good look.

I wondered whether this is a normal protection against any gravel etc hitting the car's body while driving (as the salesman said) or else there is anything they might be covering (in which case it would demand further assesment).

Just two final notes. My car is a black three door comfort version and this 'sticker' can be found on both the left and right side - identical in appearance and position.

Look forward to your valuable assistance.

its on ours too, so wouldn't worry about it. it is on an area that flares out slightly so i suspect it is there against increased likleyhood of chips appearing. The only bad point anbout it is if you polish your car you get a nice white line all the way round which makes it less invisible where the polish builds up!

On my red one too, don't worry Jonathan, just enjoy the car, it's a honey! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

It was on my first i20 aswell, I thought it may be transit film that they forgot to remove, but never removed it. As it's on my new happy returns replacement aswell, I'm sure it should be there!
