Have you replaced the plug wires? Mine "looked" fine, I didn't see any arching, but being 9 year old plug wires (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) they needed to be replaced.

Good luck and let us know,
mike

I just picked up my new-to-me XG after some warranty work. Was idling very rough, with misfires on 1, 3, and 5.

Notice a pattern? Only the odd cylinders. These engines have two banks of three cylinders each: odds are bank 1, evens are bank 2.

Intake camshaft 1 was mistimed.

So, if even cylinders misfire, focus your attention on bank 2: valve timing, intake manifold + variable intake system, anything else that's specific to that bank. Good luck.
