I was wondering when we would get the first report here of a crashed i10...

If anyone here buys it for breaking, I'll make you an offer for the wheels (to put my winter tyres on) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) :-)

Puts my minor collision with a Volvo the other week into perspective.

Wonder what happened?

is always a shame to see something like that happen to a car but at least from that picture the passenger compartment looks like it's in one piece so good testament to the build of these little cars.

one thing looks good in all these smashes is the passenger compartment looks stable including the this one where it must have been a large smash for the airbags to be activated.

Why would anyone want to buy a salvage i10 engine, surely every i10 on the road would be under warranty?

Some people aren't fully comp, even on a new car (yes I know!) and the engine could get severely damaged going through floods. I don't think many people realise this is classed as an 'accident' so if you flood and knacker your engine, but you're fully comp, you can claim for a new one.

Also, maybe the engine will retro-fit into an old Amica or other small cars.
