Hi,

I own this car for just two weeks now. These are the only two problems I have.

My radio forgets the Power-on volume setting, and comes on with the last used volume level.
Much more annoying, in two weeks twice it lost all FM station presets. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/angry.gif)

This post has a good picture of my radio model.

Anyone else have these problems? Any solutions?

Car was bought in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Thanks in advance.

as you may know the radio needs a constant power supply to it to enable it to keep its 'memory' if the power is disrupted even for a moment you will loose all the station presets. there may be an intermitant fault in the power supply or more likely the radio itself. as the above post states get back to your dealer and make use of your warranty

I have booked a service appointment for next week's Wednesday (eight days from now). So I have ample time to experiment.

I had an inkling about this, and tested. I am now pretty sure this happens when:
- I turn the ignition key off while a CD is being played, AND
- Leave car to rest for an extended period (overnight (12+ hrs) surely does it)
This evening, I will see if it happens after a workday's rest (8 hrs) as well.
It did not happen this morning over a rest of about 1 1/2 hour.

Can a kind soul test above scenario on same model radio, and report the result?

My car is 2009 Touring GL . The starting post of this thread has a link to another post that has a good picture of the radio model that I have.

We need to figure, if we have a recall case in our hands, or is it a sample defect.

Thanks in advance.
