want to take out the one that came with the system, sounds pretty bad. how do you remove the sub woofer and any suggestions would be appreciated to upgrade.

its 4 screws to remove the enclosure. How to get the sub out of the enclosure might be impossible. Its seems it was built custom in that plastic enclosure.

Drives: 2003 Hyundai Tiburon gt v6 2.7
4 Bolts hold it in. one on the top right, one on the left side, and 2 at the base of the sub under the carpet by the spare tire.
As for replacing the sub itself, there is a DIY on a website but im not sure im allowed to post the link
