Hi all

On my last car I had door sill plates, and when I opened the door a small light came on under them.

Now I have seen similar on fleabay for the Santa Fe but I was just wondering if they are worth it, and more importantly how easy would they be to fit?

Those sill plates are for the new body Santa Fe and won't work on the old one. If you do manage to find a set that fits the first gen Santa Fe, it's an easy swap. There is a one-use plug that will have to be replaced. You can't re-use it; trust me, I tried.
