I'm not used to new fangled cars, but at least this isn't a computer related thing lol.
I suspect it's the suspension, as the car has started bouncing away at the smallest bump and it's making a lot of squeaking noises, also at the smallest bump. I squeaks from the moment I start moving it, to the moment it's parked. There are no potholes where I live, currently (the road got fixed a while ago), so it's not a major bump that starts it off. My last car (a 1990 toyota corolla) didn't make this much noise.
Looking for some confirmation and am looking to fix it myself, if possible. I will use "genuine" parts, to keep the warranty. I used to work on 70's- 80's Fords and Holdens. Also did work on my old corolla, so I'm not afraid of grease and a spanner.
Currently, I'm waiting for the manual to download (from the links I've found on this site). I'm on dial up, so it means leaving the computer on for a while overnight.
As I live in the country (rural) and am tired of having to travel miles to get the car looked at (with small child in tow), I prefer it, if it's something I can do myself.
Any advice/help will be appreciated.

Any "bouncing" started by whatever road condition, that keeps rocking or bouncing for a few seconds (or longer), means blown shock absorbers. I don't think all 4 shocks got blown, but probably the front ones are gone (at least one of them). The thing here is that when replacing shocks, you always have to replace both shocks (front or rear) at the same time with similar ones (genuine or oem or aftermarket).
I know you are on dial-up connection and this may be slow, but here's the suspension section of the service manual for your Getz. At least you do not have to download the whole manual.
