I'm wondering if anybody finds that their i20 gets pushed around a bit in light wind? I've had my i20 (1.2 classic) for just over a month and I'm finding that when I'm driving at even 60mph on the highway I can feel minor effects on the car. The alignment seems to be ok (no uneven tyre wear, will go in a straight line with hands off the wheel), the tires are inflated to the right pressure, it just feels like the car is too light! I drove from Colchester to Glasgow and back earlier in the month and only felt the car get caught in wind drift a couple of times... however I did have three kids and a whole ton of luggage in the boot then!

Does this sound like the normal handling characteristics, or it is just my car?

Cheers,
Scottie

I'm coming to the conclusion that it's new owner paranoia :-) Think it's probably just the natural uneveness of the road surface I'm driving on

i know mine moved around a bit over the weekend just gone (understandable with the winds as they were) but i've not noticed anything obvious with light wind - is more the road surface making the wheels wobble a bit that i think is likely to cause it. as long as it goes in a straight line normally when you take your hands away then i think everything should be ok.

Scottie,
I initially found steering a little sensitive on long runs. Other than that, my i20 doesn't seem to be affected any worse than another car I've owned.
