I have recently purchased a 2006 Azera (or Grandeur here in Australia) and we never had the option to get the wood grain steering wheel. I would really like to get one from somewhere but I just can't find one anywhere.

I have the beige interior and the closest thing I can find is on koreanautoimports.com but that has the black leather only and the timber didn't match (and I didn't want to spend $600 on one either).

Was this an option in the states? Was there a version that had the red timber and beige leather?

With any luck I am hoping that someone out there might be able to find one for me at a wreckers and post it out to Australia (at my expense of course). I can use the airbag and cover from my existing steering wheel as long as the rest is in good condition. Ideally it would have the 2007 radio buttons and I could kill two birds with one stone!

Go to www.koreanautoimports.com. In the Azera section look for Universal then Interior and look till you find Wood Steering Wheel Accents. This may be what you want and alot cheaper than a complete wheel.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had already found them but they are cheap and tacky. I want to get the proper thing not something that wraps around the existing steering wheel.

Does anyone know what a dealer would charge for a brand new one?

Bad news. A lot.

Steering column, azera, w/power tilt 2006 $1,269.93 - special order by color

Steering column, azera, w/o power tilt 2006 $673.98 - special order by color

The diagram is in black and white, but I believe the only the model with power tilt had wood grain so you'd be stuck with buying the more expensive one. I'm sure you can find the parts cheaper, but that appears to be Hyundai msrp.
