The manual doesn't mention anything about this "feature" but I cannot stand that when I start the car and switch to AM, the volume "fades in." It doesn't happen with CD or FM radio, but only AM. Also, coming to a stop I am pretty sure the volume goes down too.
I know some GPS' have this feature but I do not want it on my factory radio.
Is there some wire I can cut to stop this annoying feature?

aftermarket radio should get rid of it... the volume change is happening within the radio itself so removing it should solve the problem
