Hi all,

recently purchased the ET GL, which comes stock with 15" rims and tires. I have relatively new winter tires off of my Beetle (just sold) and want to know whether I can mount them on my ET. The problem is the tires are 16" (205 55 R16).

Admittedly I'm confused about the different bolt pattern configurations and want to ensure I purchase the right size. Apart from 16" and 5-bolt, what size should I be looking for?

Thanks,

Hi Radar, the tires are the right diameter. P205-55/16's is the stock tire for the GLS and LTD. or the SE (usa). The rim I'm not sure about, but just jack up the car and try the rim and see if it fits. If it doesn't fit go to Walmart or Canadian tire for a set of steel wheels approx. $45-55 bucks. Then sell your VW wheels on kijiji and re-coup some of your money.

Cheers
