Hi guys.
A year ago I made a little improvement for my car - hood strut. In my country we have quite long winter with snow and mud, so I opened my hood frequently. And I thought that it is very uncomfortable to open hood by one hand when in other hand you take a bottle with nonfreezable fluid. So than I design and make front strut bar with mounting for gas strut. Every day I use this device to be sure that it is work right in different conditions.
Yesterday one guy from Accent club in Russia mount this device to his car and he is happy.
From links below you find photos and video of device working.

You have drawings or spec's you're willing to share? I've been wanting to add a strut tower bar and a hood strut would be a plus. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Price of full kit including strut bar, mounting to the bonnet, gas strut and necessary screw is only 140$ + shipping to you. About 2009 Accent really don't know, because in our country still sell Accent LS. New Accent call here Verna, I will try to connect with somebody who have it and fit strut bar.

Ouch, that's kinda steep.
$40 strut bar(off ebay), $6 strut, $2 hardware, and ten minutes welding...

rsquared, maybe you right, but for my strut bar I use some parts from car suspension which has its own cost. Some parts made at the factory. Welding and powder painting are also made at this factory. I can make price shade lower (130$ it's min)

I'm sorry, I thought you fabricated it yourself. I love the concept and I hope you do well with it, but I just can't justify that cost on my car.
