Hi,

As a new owner of an 09 Santa FE SE, I found another interesting but frustrating tidbit. Apparently, you cannot turn on your headlights without having the key in the ignition? I know this is probably a precaution to prevent your battery from draining but is there a way around this? I really would like to be able to turn on the headlights without having to leave my keys in the car whenever I need to make a quick dash somewhere. Thanks....

Intresting. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

There are some cars that allow headlights on without ignition keys, and I could never understand why. Now I know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

What's the brightest marker bulbs sold? The markers can stay on without the key? You could relay the markers to the fogs too.

RTM!!!...."If necessary, to keep the lights on when the ignition key is removed, perform the following...

1) Open the driver-side door.
2) Turn the parking lights OFF and ON again using the light switch on the steering column.

Hope this helps... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/00000732.gif)

Why did they have to make it so complicated? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)
