welcome to the forums (IMG:style_emoticons/default/00000732.gif)

it sounds like your alternator and or battery have failed. you will need to get the battery checked out and the charging system checked before you go ant further

l am moving your post over to the accent forum for a better response from other members/owners

no I have not solved my problem. But a new one has arrived. I can drive the car for about 10-15 minutes. then the shift stops working, meaning i still have the car running but it will go no where. on friday after the shift stopped working, i was able to keep the car in gear and take my foot off the clutch, but the car wouldn't stall out. I'm thinking its the clutch but not sure. Any imput out there for me?

You're newest problem sounds like a clutch/pressure plate problem. You're first problem sounds like a battery/alternator problem. They could be related or just a coincidence.

Thx everyone for they help. Now one more question, does anyone know if I could check this problem out myself. Being treated like a 'stupid' girl with the three garages that I have called to inquire about pricing. Don't want to get messed around and ripped off.

From what I can tell you've got a clutch problem like 'rsquared' said. Diagnosing this yourself is a whole nother story. If it still starts but is tempermental when you're trying to change gears and engage the engine it might be many things. Release fork, clutch cylinders, release bearing, pressure plate. Are you still able to drive it and change gears while you're moving and once it stops you're experiencing problems?

And don't take any garage's BS. Make sure they know you're in charge. Besides that's hot lmao. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

That should be a hydraulic clutch. Is the res full?

It should be a hydraulic clutch. Do you have a leak? Clutch res. level low?
