Your question hasn't really been answered, so I'll answer it.
Firstly, the Hyundai stereo uses the iPod itself to play audio, not its own internal decoder, so you need the Hyundai supplied cable. It connects to both the Audio and USB connections, as sound is not transferred through USB like it is with other iPod products.
Secondly, the iPod is non-functional throughout playback. All controls are on the stereo, and are explained in the manual. They're quite intuitive; All you really need know is that the Down Arrow ("FLDR" button) is the equivalent of moving back one menu on the iPod (i.e. Track name > Album > Artist) and the right rotating control is for changing menu options. Press it inwards to select.
Thirdly, all track information comes up on the centre display; The screen on the iPod is not used. You can leave it in the small well where the input is safely and not look at it for your whole journey.
Hope this helps!
