Yo guys.

My mats, mudguards and cargo net came today.

The rear mats are just a lift and throw affair, but the front ones are clipped down in an impossible to remove sort of way.

I tried prying up the mat, which worked but the clip itself was still screwed to the floor. I then tried unscrewing the mat, but the entire piece came up and I surely can't squeeze the top part of the clip through the rubber mat the way I did with the carpet.

Is there something I'm missing? Should I just pry apart the plastic clip after I unscrew it off the peg in the floor? Or should I just swing by a dealership and try and have them explain it/put them in for me?

Peace peace peace.

You're from New York!

If you're in the Poughkeepsie area, you should swing by Vassar and show me how to take off this mat.

I just push down on the plastic peg with one finger while lifting with two under the carpets hole grommet..
when I re install, I put it over the plastic peg and push down on two sides of the carpets hole grommet till it snaps into place.

Done, everyone. I was just bein too gentle with my baby.

As usual, the 3G Forum brightens my day.

I'll put on the mudguards tomorrow, and I'll have to find a drill to borrow from someone to install the D-rings for the cargo net. Oh yeah and me and the GF did the debadging and it looks sweet. I put the H Y U N D A I and the ACCENT on the top of my macbook.

I'll put some pictures of the whole car after I finish installing and wash it.

They almost force you to get the mats made for the Accent.

Meh, I say just leave the stock ones in and place a pair of another kind over them if you want "new" mats for whatever reason.
