Hi, hope you're all doing well.... I've looked over my 2004 Santa Fe trying to figure out how to access the Fog Lamp Bulbs to replace them but nothing sticks out to me other than removing the bumper.... if anybody has any experience with this I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for your help and time.

Ugh...I had a whole write-up written here and accidentally clicked the 'X' on the tab before I could post it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/angry.gif) Oh well...not your fault. Here it is.

Thankfully you do not have to remove the bumper. Here is a step-by-step for you to follow. It's been about two years since I toyed with mine so this may not be 100% but it's pretty darn close. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

  1. Remove the headlamps - they use a 10 mm socket
  2. Reach down into the bumper and disconnect the power leads to the bulb. The release tab is on top of the connector, covered by some insulating foam. No need to remove the foam, just push the tab through it and slide the connector off.
  3. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the fog light assembly.

Once you replace the bulb, make sure you don't touch it with your fingers. Re-installation is not easy and avoiding contact with the bulb is even trickier so just be patient and take your time. Fitting the new bulb in the socket can be nearly impossible if you're looking down from the top because its very difficult to see how the notches line up. Luckily, I found a solution. With the new bulb in your hand, reach down and put it halfway into the socket, then (without letting go) look through the fog light lens and you'll be able to see how the notches line up. This is SOOO much easier than trying to do it blindly.

Reconnect the power leads and test them before zipping everything back up. Good luck and I hope these instructions are helpful!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)
