Hi All: Remember that old test pattern on TV years ago? My NAV / Infinity screen is showing that. Rolling horizontal lines then the screen goes totally blank. No NAV at all -- but strangely, I hear just fine. XM / FM / AM / CD all auditory is fine. Just no video at all. The screen is that. Rolling horizontal lines top to bottom. Your thoughts? Thanks. 2009 Sonata Limited.

Welcome to the home of the Hyundai and the 4G Board. There are many problems with the 09 Sonata Nav Unit, a lot of them posted here,

as it was on national back order since September of last year. You should have no problem with the 3 Year/36K Warranty, and I'm sure

replacement units (used of course) are now available.

"There is nothing wrong with your Nav Unit. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your Nav. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits."

Sounds like your nav unit is defective. Take it back to the dealer and have them look at it.

By the way, this is posted in the wrong subforum. It should be in the 4G Sonata subforum.

had the same problem and it was a software issue you would need your software updated at your local hyundai dealer.
