Hi,
Just joined as i will have an i30 soon. Only a moan really having just read the post from isellhyundai Oct 28 2009,12.36pm. in the i10 forum. Is he not missing the point? It is easy to understand that if they sell a lot more cars than expected there will be a delay but just tell the customer.I am a motability customer renewing my car so it is not really a problem as i keep my present car but it is the principle. Due to change on November 9 and ordered on August 10 and told there was a 3 month wait so did not think there would be a problem. Phoned 29/10 to check all is ok ,said he has not seen car and will check and get back to me. As expected no call back so phoned 30/10 and told the factory are saying mid November and delivery takes 3 weeks so should get car 1st or 2nd week December. Does this sound likely? He must have known for ages that i would not get the car on time, just tell me. I wonder if this is my dealer!
Have just taken delivery of an i30 ordered two weeks ago. Must admit I had done a fair it of research including these forums so knew there were delivery issues. Got the dealer to check that the car a I was ordering was actually in the country as I wanted to make sure I got the car before my current ones MoT was due at end November! Still wasn't sure I'd really get it as I kept phoning to check progress as I was promised it on Tues 27th and it hadn't arrived - they did seem a bit unsure but to be fair it wasn't a problem and I picked it up on Fri 30th.
