Does anyone know what the oil viscosity is for the 1.2 i20 engine? Had a look in handbook & says refer to dealer, service dept. Mine does not need topping up, just curious.
Thanks.

My handbook says 0W-40, 5W-30 or 5W-40 for the petrol engine (page 8-5), and from what I've read 5W-30 sounds like the most popular/recommended option.

Scottie,
Thanks for your reply.
Yep, I checked service schedule too. As you've stated, presumably 5W-30 would be used. Have not checked with dealer (was lazy). Why don't manufactures make is easy for UK consumers & state usual oil used by authorised Hyundai dealers? Take the guessing game away.
