I am SO happy to see this. I have gone through three Bluetooth Mighty Mouses and refused to buy another simply because the track ball would gunk up within weeks and there is no reliable way to clean it. Such a glaring design flaw, it ticked me off to no end that Apple wouldn't think of that.
I'm very happy that the price is reasonable US$69 or so (I heard) so I will be picking one of these up ASAP, provided it is available in a Bluetooth model.
As the saying goes, build a better mouse trap and they'll come up with a better mouse... in this case the Magic Mouse is definately another "Why didn't we think of this before!" product from Apple. It only works with Macs though, but it uses a bluetooth connection. I had the opportunity to use one at MicroCenter and it recognized left and right mouse clicks without a problem (finally an apple mouse that realizes there is more than one mouse button) and it recognizes my finger movements. The only finger movement I could not replicate was the two fingered swipe from side-to-side, but then I didn't have images in Preview or webpages in a browser to flip around in.
They are shipping these with all new iMacs. I honestly wish they would make this available for PCs. It would be one more way for Apple to get introduced to PC users. Also, because I also use bootcamp on my iMac and I'm guessing that the Magic Mouse will not work in that environment.
