My dealer has several of these on his lot , new , various colours , auto and 5 spd manual . Looking for a daily , 12 month of the year , 4 door driver , what would be a reasonable price for one of these .

Looks like i'm going with a 2010 Mazda3 auto , lower selling price , lower interest rate and one year newer car . It's a no brainer as they say .

Told my Hyundai salesman i was going with the 2010 Mazda3 instead of his 2009 Elantra Sport . He walked me over to their Kia salesroom (different building , same lot ) and showed me the new Kia Forte . My wife fell in love with a 2010 Titanium Forte SX sedan , 2.4 litre 173 hp , 5 spd auto , leather heated seats , sunroof , satellite radio , auto climate , 11.8" front rotors , 17" alloys .
Picked it up last week , so far we have tinted the windows (35/15) , winter floor mats , hood deflector , 4 205/55r16 snows on black steel wheels and oilguard rustproofing .

Kayakman, I think your links require a Consumerreports.org account and login (which I have, but most people don't).

QUOTE (Kayakman @ Jan 3 2010, 02:07 PM) *

Thanks for the links , i checked them out . Consumer guides can be very useful at times but sometimes can be very misleading . Tha Honda Accord is not in the same class , it competes with the Sonata not the Elantra . The Forte SX is comparable to a loaded Mazda3 2.5l Sport (@ $30k cdn) or a loaded Civic Si sedan (@ $30k cdn) . We picked up the SX for $21500 cdn . Elantra engineering won't catch up to the Forte until the 2011 model . I really liked the Elantra Sport but after test drives of the competition and price comparing , well the choice was obvious .
