so i took the bumper off of my 08 Accent because some a** left me a cute little mark on the front end while it was parked >:(

a few issues i noticed that i thought might be helpful if you ever find the need to remove it

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!!! nothings worse then blowing your airbags up accidently while fixing something simple lol

be EXTREMELY gentle with all the little pop-in-pins dont strip them its very easy to do so if you're having trouble with them take a small flat head screw driver and put it underneath the peice you are trying to remove and pry up ever so gently....dont go ape s*** youll break something

you will have to remove the inner fender covers so removing of the wheels will be helpful with the inner fender covers there are three screws in the door side of the fender that will involve some prying to remove them but do be careful not too destroy anything or scratch the paint....there is also one more pop-in-pin right below those three screws that needs to be removed

once the bumper is off (it wil involve some prying grunting and what not) NEVER force anything....if it feels attached...it probably is double and triple check to see if there is a pin or a bolt you missed

now that the bumper is off removing of the grille is pretty straight forward....dont lose any of the billion mini-screws that hold it on and you're gonna need some strong thumbs to remove the bottom strip of plastic that serves as a mini-air dam as well as a scrape surface for steep driveways and speed bumps

im pretty sure that i uploaded a pic with this soo thats essentially what it should look like when its done =) hope this helps anyone in there quest for removing a front bumper

Yeah I saw one driving around town in Elk Grove by my job. Wish more local cars were on here =(

I feel so far away from a lot of more regular members. I try to plan meets in Sac with the Tibs, since I am a NorCal regional leader in the group, but no one replies if they can go or not. Ahhh well back on topic

Yeah so i am assuming you set off your air bags while taking off your bumper? Thats sucks if you did.. Thanks for the heads up.
