So 4.5 is fine on that Supra. With the ginormous, laughable spoiler no one will even notice the exhaust, or how slow it is.

2.5 is ok for a turbo as long as u don't put a ton of boost behind it. U do need some kind of backpressure though or u will lose torque and ruin the engine in the long run. Unless u are using a v-8 u need back pressure

I could have sworn, with my countless hours of researching and learning before getting my catback made, that ANY backpressure is bad. The proper term you are looking for the Scavenging Effect. You really really don't want to go too big on the exhaust or you will lose the S.E. Backpressure would seem to imply that you're adding unnecessary resistance to the airflow, and I don't think you'll find that's a good thing on anything that we're talking about.

You are right, the back pressure its mostly needed on forced induction.
